Since the establishment of the Marine Research Base in 1978, Petar Petrov has participated in all underwater archaeological excavations as a diver and a captain.
He started working as a full-time diver at the Center for Underwater Archeology in 1982.
He obtained a Mmaster’s degree in history and archeology at Veliko Tarnovo University.
Today he is a full-time employee of the CUPA, who is responsible for the maintenance of the material propertybase of the Center. He is also a captain of the CUA motorboat, a boat captain, as well as and a senior diver.
He participates in all archaeological projectsresearch.
